Janet Smith: Contraception: why not? - Part 1
I thought that the Church’s teaching on contraception was crazy, until I looked into it more. Janet Smith’s talk was the biggest help for me in understanding this complex question. It’s not matter of telling people what to do in their personal lives: it’s about encouraging true freedom, responsibility, and greater love in marriages. Understanding the Church’s view of sex is imperative to understanding its Teaching on many of today’s most contentious issues.

Peter Kreeft: Ecumenism
Peter Kreeft is my hero and the person who has had the greatest impact on my Catholic intellectual formation. I like everything he’s done, but the talk on ecumenism is a particularly good example of his work. Here he argues that we need to have Catholic hearts and Protestant minds: that is, both a commitment to the fullness of the Truth that is found in the Church and a personal relationship with Christ, who is our Lord and Savior.
