Fulton Sheen on Loneliness
Before “Life is Worth Living” was a Justin Beiber song, it a Catholic tv show.In the 1950’s, Archbishop Fulton Sheen got dressed up in full bishop’s garb and went on ABC during prime time. This is one of my favorite clips, on whether God understands loneliness, but there’s a lot of material worth watching here!
Bishop Barron on the Doritos Commercial
The Fulton Sheen of the contemporary jungle of social media, Bishop Barron has something to say about all things pop-culture. He manages to make theological points out of things like Doritos Commercial. His ministry, Word on Fire, is the highest quality Catholic media available.
Scott Hahn’s Conversion Story
This is still the best modern conversion story I’ve ever heard. Scott Hahn describes his journey into the Church as a horror movie which became a love story. He left the Protestant community he had known all his life, and a sure future, to swim the Tiber. His biblical commentaries are very worthwhile.
